Up-rooted Trees

On Thursday we had a whopper of a storm in our little town of Del Ray. Trees were down everywhere, the power lines were twisted in the wind and ended up across many streets. Our little plants even blew off the balcony. The power was out so we went to dinner with some friends. We had a nice long 3 hour dinner and enjoyed the air conditioning. I was worried about getting ready for work the next day but thankfully the power came back on around 4:30 AM.

I was impressed at how quickly the neighbors were out helping move downed trees from the road and directing traffic away from downed power lines. We sure do live in a great community.
