I Love the Fall at Bates

Today was the first day that I really felt a chill in the air. It was crisp and cool and refreshing. I love fall. It is my favorite season by far. Most of my love of fall stems from the four years I spent in Maine. I love all things about New England fall: apples and pumpkins, the bursts of color in the leaves, the fresh crunch and the smell of the leaves as you walk.

I have so many wonderful memories of college, especially during fall. It makes me feel all happy inside thinking of wearing warm wool sweaters walking across the quad to watch the Bobcats play football. The friends I have from college are some of my best and I know that our friendships will endure regardless of the miles that separate us or the time that passes between visits. I would love nothing more than to take a stroll around campus and meet all of my friends at Commons at 5:45 for dinner - large salad bowl please! Bates was the absolute best. I am so lucky I was able to spend four of the best years of my life so far in Lewiston. Oh how I love the fall at Bates.
