Post Call Date in DC

Some how I managed to sleep some on call Wednesday and was able to enjoy my afternoon. Kevin and I started by trying the new Pizzeria Del Ray just a few blocks from our house. While the food left much to be desired it was a beautiful day out and I felt so lucky to live in a great walkable community. After lunch we had a restful afternoon but then took a run down by the monuments. Living in DC is fantastic, one of my favorite parts is the fact that we are so close to everything. When we finished our run by the Iwo Jima the sun had just set and the sky was the most beautiful fade of blues and purples. I wished I had my camera so badly. Thanks to Google here is one that is close! We made dinner, watched a Bon Jovi concert on Palladia and I felt like I had a whole day off (well as close to it as I could get). Happy Friday!
